Your mornings will eventually define your day. So it’s important to have a mindful routine and ritual in place to make sure your mind and body are happy from the start.
For a healthier morning, this is what you should do :
SKIP THE SNOOZE
Choose a time to get up, and stick to it. Hitting snooze and going back to sleep makes your brain start its sleep cycle all over again, and when your alarm goes off again, you’ll be in a deeper sleep than you should be; this will actually make you feel much worse.
STRETCH IT OUT
Take some deep breaths and stretch for a minute or two before you get out of bed. Stretching first thing in the morning help to relief stress and also good for your circulation.
GET YOUR H2O DOSAGE
About 60% of your body is made of water, and after sleeping for 7-8 hours without water, your body is practically needs refuelling.
BREAKFAST IS KEY
Don’t use time as an excuse. You can always prep your meal the night before and even get your brekkie on the go. Think fruits and cereals, those are easy. You do need food to function throughout the day.
Always start your day by having positive thoughts. This will make a big difference, so put your gadgets aside… take a few minutes to soak your mind in words of positivity.
It takes some level of commitment to do this, but it’s definitely worth it. You’ll need to train your mind and body to make these changes, remember habits form with consistency ;)
