Home-cooked food may sound like a healthier, cost-saving option, but it’s nice to take a break from the kitchen and go out to indulge once in awhile. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a meal out with the family, here are five child-friendly restaurants in the Klang Valley with delish food!


Good Friends Restaurant & Cafe

Located in the ever-crowded SS15, Good Friends Restaurant & Cafe provides a warm, homey and friendly ambience for diners who want to have a healthy approach to food. The family-friendly restaurant has a small play area decorated with drawings/doodles of patrons hung up on the brightly painted yellow wall. Crayons and papers were also provided for the little ones while they wait for their food to arrive.

Antipodean Cafe

Famously known for their breakfast and coffee, Antipodean Cafe at Bangsar Telawi is also a kid-friendly zone. Securing a table on weekends can be difficult, but it’s worth the wait. For the little ones in the family, there’s a small play alcove under the stairs complete with toys, games and a television to keep your child entertained.

Marmalade Cafe

Marmalade Cafe has come a long way to establish a name as the place that serves homely, healthy food in a casual and welcoming environment. There are also two intimate play areas for kids to play and mingle at  in their Publika branch – a cosy indoor area with air-conditioning and an outdoor area under the warmth of the sun.

For Goodness Cakes

With such a fun and quirky name like this, you can expect nothing less in terms of the food and environment from the cafe. If you’re looking for authentic home-cooked food and handcrafted desserts, this is the place you should head to. With a comfy play area for kids to have fun at, parents can kick back and sip their coffee in peace.

Stuff Your Face


Located behind Bangsar Shopping Centre, Stuff Your Face is a cosy kid-friendly cafe that’s just made its home at My Playroom. The cafe’s play area includes a variety of games, a ball pitt, rocking animals and a play kitchen for kids to interact and play house together. Your kids will also enjoy dishes of the menu such as mini slider burgers and a healthy chicken nugget alternative (coated in Ritz biscuit crumbs).
