Here’s one simple way to rid your new bag or belt of the scent of leather.
- Seal it in a Ziploc bag or pillowcase
- Sprinkle a layer of baking soda over the surface or the inside of the bag
- Seal the plastic bag, or tie the ends of the pillowcase, and leave it overnight
- The smell should be gone the next day. Use a clean cloth or vacuum cleaner to remove the baking soda.
- Repeat the steps if you need to.
