Datuk Michelle Yeoh
Soft, wavy curls are the way to go for
a laid-back yet charming look.
Va-va-voom Factor
This casual yet amiable
style is easy to recreate,
says Chris Lai, artistic
director of Andy Ho
Haute Coiffure. But
getting a good haircut
first is crucial. “Long
layers must be cut
through the sides, back,
and fringe to create
volume,” he says. Volume
is vital to give hair the
va-va-voom factor. Chris
also advises getting
highlights as the colour
contrast will create an
illusion of volume and
texture. “To get Michelle’s
hairstyle, apply a good
volumising mousse to
your hair and scrunch
hair from the roots to
the ends. Then, curl hair
section by section with a
curling tong. Start about
an inch from the ends of
the hair to create natural
curls instead of a tight
ringlets”. Then gently run
hands under hair and
give it a tousle. Andy Ho
