5 Fashion Mistakes You’re Making (And How to Avoid Them)

Are you guilty of committing any of these fashion mishaps?

1. WEARING TOO MUCH BLACK

While you might think that wearing all-black can never go wrong, the reality is, you can end up looking like a goth. But if you do insist on wearing black, perhaps you should consider throwing in white top with your ensemble. Now it’s more workwear chic and less teenage angst.

2. WEARING ONLY HEELS

Sure, high heels give you a bit of height, especially if you’re petite. The only thing is, you also need to be able to walk and look like you’re in charge of your limbs. And sometimes, even if those stilettos look great on you, it’s not worth hurting your feet. Besides, when you’re wearing an uncomfortable pair of heels, you’ll end up walking wobbly and that doesn’t scream confident or elegant.

3. KNOW WHEN TO ACCESSORIES

We all know someone who wears too many bangles, bracelets and necklaces and several earrings all at once! We’re not suggesting you to go this far but select a few stack rings with a delicate necklace and a earcuff can take a normcore outfit from boring to glamorous.

4. BEING OVERDRESSED

Despite the old adage ‘you can never be overdressed’, we beg to differ. Because the thing is, as much as we love to dress like a Disney princess (hey, a girl can dream right?) for a stroll around the city, we somehow don’t feel we could do the same without illicting a few odd looks. The truly stylish always know what to wear for every occasion.

6. WEARING UNCOMFORTABLE CLOTHES

Even though your friends insist that tight bodycon dress looked great on you, in reality you end up not being able to eat anything for the night because it’s too tight. Always make sure you are 100% comfortable in an outfit, even if your girlfriends or husband say otherwise.
