1. Learn to work second day hair

Washing hair once every two days allows the body to repair hair with its own natural oils – leaving your hair silky and smooth.

2. Shampoo only your scalp

Let your hair hang down normally and lather shampoo onto your scalp, then let the ends of your hair experience the ‘second hand suds’ as you rinse the shampoo through your hair and away down the drain.

3. Condition your ends

Always, always remember to use conditioner after shampooing your hair. Be sure to only apply conditioner directly to the ends of your hair, and then leave it for 3 to 5 minutes to soak and absorb the nutrients before rinsing it off completely.

4. Towel drying

Do not scrub and rub a towel every which way on and through your hair! Those wet and vulnerable strands are then forced to crease and twist in many unnatural directions, thus promoting more breakage. Instead, wrap a towel around hair and simply squeeze different areas to draw moisture out.

5. Trim your hair

Trim your hair once in 6 to 8 weeks to avoid frizzed, rough split ends. If you notice a split end, grab a pair of scissors and take care of it right then! If you don’t, it could potentially split all the way up to your root, causing even further damage.
